The Kia Carens is a versatile 6- or 7-seater MPV that blends practicality, style, and modern features at an attractive price point. With a bold exterior design that leans more towards an SUV-like stance than a traditional MPV, it certainly turns heads on the road. The sleek LED DRLs, chrome accents, and well-proportioned body give it a contemporary appeal. Inside, the Carens shines with its premium and spacious cabin. The dashboard layout is modern, with a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system (in higher variants), wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting, and ventilated front seats. Second-row space is generous, and even the third-row seats are decently usable for average-sized adults, which is rare in this segment. On the performance front, the Carens offers three engine options: a 1.5L petrol, a 1.4L turbo-petrol, and a 1.5L diesel, with multiple transmission choices including manual, iMT, and DCT. The turbo-petrol and diesel engines are smooth, offering good drivability for both city and highway use. However, the naturally aspirated petrol feels a bit underpowered when fully loaded. Safety is a strong point ? Kia offers 6 airbags, ABS, ESC, and all-wheel disc brakes as standard across variants, which is commendable. Ride quality is comfortable, especially over long distances, making it a great family car. However, some may find the third row tight for long trips, and Kia?s service network in rural areas still lags behind Maruti or Hyundai. Also, features like a sunroof or wireless Android Auto/CarPlay are missing in lower variants.
