Great Vehicle - Inside or Outside the சிட்டி

Having bought Maruti Ertiga in August 2014, I became part of the highly popular LUV movement which was being propagated by Maruti successfully. I had bough the car just before the competition Mobilio was yet to be launched and I was wondering if I am hurrying up in my decision without test-driving the likely-good-option. But I had no regrets with regards to my exercised choice? Ertiga Vxi (CNG). Being in the city of Mumbai and ample availability of the fuel I am glad that I opted for the same. The Car interior is average and not exceptional. Since I had opted for the customized interiors like wooden finish steering wheel, leatherette carpeting & seat covers and wooden interiors hence I have no complaint. If you have a taste for good interior, the regular company supplied would not satisfy your desire. Be ready to invest a little. You don't have much space for luggage, go for the carrier on top if you frequent with large stuff. Seven people can sit comfortable without any issue, preferably kids in the rear most. What is missing is that driver-seat should have had height adjustments, though you can adjust the steering wheel height. Flex second row seating allows comfort for passengers in long drives. As for the performance is concerned, on petrol it's the best, but when it comes to CNG initial 10000 kms it was great. Now having crossed about 50000 kms, there is substantial difference that can be felt. Ground clearance is really good, have driven on some of the roughest roads I have ever seen without any problem with seven people seated in, full mark on the same. Mileage of about 20 kms/Kg of CNG and 15 kms/litres Petrol is recorded with my vehicle (with AC) on Mumbai roads. Being a Maruti vehicle it has one of the largest network for service and repair that you can depend on. Recently while on a long drive to Madhya Pradesh, I could find an authorized service station in a very remote location too, thus I was happy. Keeping the low cost of maintenance and no-frill-labour, the car is a good option for those who want to have a big comfortable car but not a big hole in pocket. After Esteem, I believe this is one of the most successful vehicle that Maruti has rolled out. Overall a good vehicle within the city or even for long drives.
