Look and Style : Most people feel that the design is over a decade old. Well so is the case with teh Pajero. I feel the design is still selling as its an ideal design for a Car-cum-SUv combination. its easilly manouverable there is no Pitch compares to the scorpio. Also there is a better sitting posture compared to the Scorpio and a more aero dynamic shape compared to a Scorpio . Comfort: Have driven my safari for 14000 Km. in four months. Did one drive from Delhi -Luckno and Lucknow varanasi and return. There were torrential rains and most traffic had stopped, Our safari waded through 15 Inches of water and the wipers were working and the tail gate lights were a big help . the ground clearance and the almost No pitching in the Safari gives excellent Control. The safari maintained a speed of 165 Klicks for two minutes and 140 for over ten minutes on the expressawy to varanasi. The Ac for once in the tata vehicle is a 10/10. Pickup: The pickup is brilliant . the vehicle kerb weight is low and both on the hiogh way as well as in the city drive there is no Lack of Pickup. There was a smaill hick up in the engine malfunction light going on while on the highway to haridwar but the real fuel filter was drained and things got back to normal. There is no turbo Lag provided the gears and speed ratio is maintained. Mileage: If Turbo Diesel is used the average is around 10kmpl. Driving over 110kmph The average is around 10Km/L. If the normal diesel is used the average is around 11. and on the highway its around 12 driving at 110kmph. If driving between 140-165 the average will come to around 9kmpl. Best Features: The large wheel base , the ground clearance , the A/c. the 360 D view. Needs to improve: Some fittings like the Bumper clips, The small plastic knobson the inside given on the doors. the rubber pads on the clutch . The vipers need to be well adjusted form the factory itself. its normally done in the first service . Some times the Turbo charger Hose pipe gets loose and needs to be taken to the work shop for refitting or tightening. Overall Experience: I have driven the Scorpio from Gopalgunj in Bihar to Lucknow. But it was the older model. the new hawk engine is good but it dosent match up with the power of the 2.2 VTT . Overall i would give this vehicle a 8.5/10 in most areas.
