Tata Bolt - A Smarter Indica

I have been driving bolt for past few years and I must say Tata Motors has really come up with a very good car. If the positive response to the Tata Zest is anything to go by, its hatch sibling Bolt comes with a lot of promise. Bolt is, of course, one of Tata's best-looking hatchbacks yet, and it's stylish enough to hold your attention. No doubt, Tata Motors has put its heart and soul into getting the Bolt right. It's true, that it's based on the Indica Vista and the linkage is noticeable when you see it from the side. On the outside, its spread out headlight, blacked out rear pillars and neat tail lamps provide the car a distinct look. Tata cars are known for spacious cabin and bolt is not different- at least three passengers can sit at the rear very comfortably. There is no dearth of gadgetry either with techs like Harman-sourced infotainment system, music playback via iPod connectivity, USB, Aux-In and Bluetooth streaming. Tata Bolt is powered by indigenously made 1.2L turbocharged Revotron petrol engine that can produce the output of 90PS and peak torque of 140Nm. It's another oil burner is 1.3L Quadrajet diesel can generate the power output of 75PS and maximum torque of 190Nm. Both the engines come mated to 5-speed manual gearbox. Overall Tata's attempt at reinventing Indica Vista is definitely admirable.
