Toyota has launched a much polished second-generation of the Fortuner. I must say, it is splendid as compared to outgoing version and others in same price range. It offers richer interior, better electronics and substantially improved steering and braking feedbacks. Moreover, it has new luxurious seats and a relatively spacious cabin. Also, the new dark theme of the cabin looks elegant and attractive. It has a new capacitive touchscreen-based infotainment system and a useful, large screen MID in the instrument cluster. It comes with a new six-speed automatic transmission along with a new engine, which has improved NVH levels and comes with ECO and Power modes. When you drive it, you feel fortunate to drive the Fortuner. It offers good road control and view as well. All in all the new Fortuner is a superb vehicle, and is much better than the Endeavour, Trailblazer and the CRV. After several test drives of various SUVs in this segment, I finally approved the Fortuner.
