Drive it, Feels Good!!!

Hi there, It's all about Duster 85-PS here. I have driven a lot of cars, both here and in the US. Believe me, Duster is good. It works for us here in India in all aspects. I use it to go on long drives, in rural areas as well as through fields. It handles all these places very easily. I once used it transport car full of mangoes with the seats folded down and mangoes popping out from the windows. The body literally settled on the tyres but the engine did not feel the weight at all. Just dragged all the weight like an empty car. Trust me, My duster never felt underpowered. It may look a little underpowered by its numbers but it has the heart of a lion. I am not comparing it with the German premiums, but for Indian conditions at its price-tag, it should be respected. It never feels underpowered, whether you are dragging it through the muddy roads in the low gears or while trying to pass fast vehicles on a highway. The body also feels very sturdy. My 85-PS struggles to go beyond 140 kmph, but hey, this is India and 120kmph is beyond the safe zone. Never does the wheels or the steering feel over vibrating at any speed. Very stable and at peace. The clutch feels a little lengthy but I have no problem. For its price, it offers a very good ride quality. I miss the driver hand rest in my model. Definitely, would have added for the driving pleasure.The tire size I think is one of the reasons for that stable ride quality. The brakes are very responsive. Never had to worry about the distance between vehicles in front. Sitting in the rear feels absolutely relaxed and not a little bit of wiggling to the sides at turns or minor steering jolts. Better than the Innova or Ertiga in this quality. Two adults and a kid in between in the rear is very comfortable. Three medium to small sized adult combination can also feel relaxed.Coming to the maintenance perspective, my Duster tires had to be changed around 45000 kilometers. Not bad for its size. Service at every 10,000 kilometers for around Rs 6000-8000 is not painful but a need for brakes every 35000 is a little over the limit for me. Mileage is decent around 16 kmpl. I really don't worry about the mileage much but I never felt the burden on my wallet, though. Considering the pros and cons, Duster looks and feels much better on road and while driving than on the paper. Has a perfectly strong body for our conditions with macho looks. I was once hit on the rear door by the back of a CD100 bike rolling down a ramp. The sound felt like a hole in the door. Believe me, this car took it like a boxer. Just a small scratch and an extremely small dent. I could not believe my eyes. I even drove the 110 PS but I like the 85 PS and went with it. Never had to regret. With almost 60,000 kms on the odometer, the guy (My Duster, he is a man!!) feels like he is just warming up. Even after frequent trips to US and driving my powerful (Not naminf it here) car there and coming back, I don't feel I'm missing something. Maybe I'm not much of a comparing guy, but for guys like me out there who are not worried about showing off or comparing or the kind who just don't care about anything, Duster is a good bet. It feels good, macho and relaxed, and is always ready for any road condition.Come on guys-Just drive it and feel it for yourself.
