Good for short trips, city driving
Being driven the first and second generation Swift diesel cars thought of buying premium diesel hatchback and end up with Swift 2018 petrol ZXi+ due to family requirements. Petrol Swift is not so punchy as the diesel but the power delivery is linear hence the overall driving experience is good. NVH levels are minimal compared to the diesel version but the road noise is audible due to poor sound insulation and average build quality. Due to lighter chassis, you can feel not so confident over 110 km/h speeds. Here are the pros and cons which I experience after driving 11000 kilometers in 1 year. Pros: 1. Refined petrol engine. 2. Better mileage 18.7 km/l in City, 20 km/l on a highway if you maintain 80/90 km/h 3. Good seating comfort. No back pain in long drives 4. Good support after sales and service. 5. Handling is good. 6. V trim(VXi or VDi) is more value for money option. Cons: 1. Average build quality 2. Average noise insulation 3. The suspension is not smooth.
