Look and Style: It is definitely one of the better-looking SUVs out there.    Comfort: Very comfortable except for the last row.    Pickup: Good. It overtakes other vehicles without breaking a sweat.    Mileage: I have done about 15,000 km and I'm getting nearly 13kmpl.   Best Features: Its ride and handling, especially in the mountains with plenty of twists and turns.    Needs to improve:  A lot! I've faced endless niggling issues. Starting with the maps that require a genius to reach a destination to its electronics, which fail more often than they work. Besides this, I had plenty of issues with the horn (still having trouble after my two visits to the service centre) and sadly driving around without one. The front doors certainly have a mind of their own (but working fine now). The headlights were not aligned properly. Once its engine wouldn't start for almost ten minutes, can you believe it? On another occasion, the boot lock didn't work when I was on a vacation. These are just to name of a few, the issues are endless in the XUV500.   Overall Experience: The Mahindra staff in Delhi as well as in Panchkula have been very prompt and courteous. But the many issues that keep cropping up have denied me the pleasure of owning an SUV.
