A complete value for money sedan: Verna

Look and Style: The first time I saw Hyundai Verna was on a traffic signal as it came and stood just besides my Hyundai i10. The car's looks took my breath away as it simply dazzled like diamond in the sunny afternoons of Delhi. There was no plan of mine to buy a sedan at that point but I was too keen to drive the car once. I asked for a test drive and the company executives arranged happily. The car provided to me for a test drive was the top of the line Petrol variant and was in deep blue color. I simply love the front grille of the car and the curvaceous body for sure. I already owned an i10 before buying this car and am an ardent fan of Hyundai's cars in terms of looks and styling.  Comfort: The car supports front seat height adjustment which is a very comfort providing factor for me as my wife is pretty short. The car also offers a comfortable drive for 5 adults even in case of long journeys. I really like the dashboard controls as they are quite easy to maneuverer during the ride. Rear seats have a unique design that gives just the right support at the required areas and makes the drive a pleasure experience.  Pickup: When a car comes from the Hyundai's stable, the pick-up and acceleration is sure to be superb and so is the case with Hyundai Verna. I had read a lot about this area of Verna not being upto the mark, but I am bound to differ here as the car rolls in seconds just the moment you gear in.  Mileage: This is the only area I feel that the company can still make improvements in the car as I get a mileage of around 10 kmpl in city areas. Honda City on the other hand, one of the closest competitor of the car gives a mileage of around 12-13 kmpl in city areas which is the reason that makes it the most popular sedan on the Indian roads, otherwise I feel both the cars are comparable on most of the fronts Best Features: Verna has a 60/40 Split back seat option, which makes it possible for my wife to stock big items while shopping. The feature is really crucial to the Indian customers. The resale value of Hyundai cars is always good and that adds an advantage to all the Hyundai car owners.  Needs to improve: As I mentioned in the mileage section the overall fuel efficiency provided by the car is less and that is what can be improved considering the increased fuel prices. Also, the looks of the front dashboard are not great and can be improved to add more style and elegance to the overall look and appeal of the car. Overall Experience: My journey with Hyundai Verna has been very nice and I am satisfied as a customer. The deliverables of the car justifies its price completely and this is what every Indian craves for. In terms of performance there have never been any serious issues faced by me and the maintainence required by the car is low.
